Danny Hall, Wednesday, 17 March 2010

    Re MOBARA TEAM VISIT

From 27th March - 3rd April we have junior baseballers from Mobara (Japan) on a stay.
In conjuction with The City Of Salisbury we (Norths) are involved in housing and looking after
    these international Atheletes.

Now would be the time to show The City Of Salisbury how commited we
are in the contribution towards baseball and the community as this is influential towards
    the new clubrooms and grounds.

If you could help out in any way please contact myself via email. danny.hall@redsbaseballclub.com

    Regards,
    Danny Hall

    MOBARA TEAM DETAILS

Peter Cesco, Wednesday, 24 February 2010

    Hi All

I have been coasting along preparing for 10 players and 1 adult when I Have just received the message that the Japanese are bringing 15 children and 2
    adults.

    1. This creates a problem or two, mainly with accommodation for the kids. We generally put them up 2 or 3 to a household. Can anyone help, even if only
    for a few days.

    2. I have asked the council for a bus for 3 days, they may or may not give it to us. Regardless on some days we will have to transport the Japanese by
cars. The plan is bus on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

    3. we have not yet completed the agenda for them, but now entry fees have just gone up by 50%. Tentative plans include Port power AFL on the 28th
March and a trip to Victor with a wildlife park visit on Wednesday. We are aiming for at least 3 games during their stay, plus a welcome on the sat
evening they arrive. They will probably meet the mayor on Monday evening at 5.30pm- 6.00pm.

    4. Their flight QF747 arrives at Adelaide on Saturday 27 March at 12:45. They will take QF740 from Adelaide on Saturday April 3 at 8:05.

    5. this is an exciting thing for them, our players and our club. If you can help in any way please advise asap.

    Regards

    Reminder about Hot Weather Policy

Murray Tonkin, Thursday, 12 November 2009

For those U/18s do not want to miss out on baseball due to the heat rule light training will be provided. Remember plenty of water for the day, cool towel under the arm pits and on the back of the neck. The club will take every precaution for the day. How to protect from the heat is not pushed enough out there.

    Hot Weather Policy Reminder

    4.11 HEAT RULE
    SENIOR HEAT POLICY:
If the forecast temperature at 7 am on the morning of competition is 37 degrees or above as broadcast on any Radio Station (AM or FM), then the following game limitations shall apply to all senior games.

    DIVISION 1, 2 and 3:
7 innings or 120 minutes. Mercy Rule to apply – 10 runs in front after 5 innings or 90 minutes.

    DIVISION 4:
5 innings or 90 minutes. Mercy Rule to apply – 10 runs in front after 75 minutes.

    DIVISION 5, 6, and 7
5 innings or 90 minutes. Mercy Rule to apply – Maximum of 7 runs can be scored in any one innings.

    MASTERS AND WOMEN’S:
5 innings or 90 minutes. Mercy Rule to apply – 10 runs in front after 75 minutes.

    Junior Heat Policy
All junior baseball (Little League, U14, U16, U18) will be cancelled if the forecast temperature at 7am the morning of competition is 37 degrees or above as broadcast on Radio (AM or FM). Cancelled rounds will not be re-scheduled
    Juniors playing Senior Baseball
A Child/Junior (under age player) cannot participate in Senior Baseball when the forecast temperature is 37 degrees or above as stated on radio (AM or FM) at 7am the morning of play without parent consent at time of registration obtained by the club.
During the hot weather every care must be taken to look after the Players, Coaches, Managers and Team Officials. Make sure that adequate water is available. Shade is mandatory and must be provided at all diamonds
Caps/hats must be worn. Sunscreen is also encouraged to be supplied and applied.

    SHADE.
The Board cannot see why each Club cannot provide even basic shade structures for all their diamonds.

If adequate shade is not supplied or erected within 20 minutes of game start time then the home team will lose the game 9 – 0, and be fined $50 per offence. In these circumstances in Youth games (Little League/U14) the loss will be 7-0.
